Importance of Educational Excursion in Teaching


  • Teaching is made interesting, comprehensible and real.

2. What do you mean by Pedagogical Analysis? Where lies the difference between pedagogical Analysis and Learning Design?


    Pedagogical analysis is a tool in the hands of a teacher which helps the teacher to plan classroom teaching and implement it successfully and can evaluate the learning outcome of the students. The concept of Pedagogy is related to the science of teaching. A teacher after selecting the unit of the lesson can decide about the possible break up of the said unit into various sub-units and Parmark the possible allotment of time ie, number of days lesson or periods required to cover the said unit.


   Pedagogical analysis focuses on teaching methods, while learning design creates structured, learner-centered experiences for effective knowledge transfer.


3. What do you mean by Professional Ethics? Mention any two Professional Ethics of an Education teacher.


   Professional ethics refer to the moral principles and standards that guide individuals' behavior in their professional roles. They ensure accountability, integrity, and respect in the workplace.


Two professional ethics of an education teacher are:


  • Commitment to Students: Ensuring the holistic development and well-being of students.
  • Maintaining Confidentiality: Protecting students' personal information and academic records.


4. What is the role of Blue-Print in Achievement Test?


    A blueprint in an achievement test serves as a guide for test construction. It outlines the topics, objectives, and cognitive levels to be assessed, ensuring balanced content coverage. By defining the weightage of each section, it helps maintain validity, reliability, and alignment with learning outcomes, providing a fair evaluation of students' performance.


5. How is NRT different from CRT?

1. What is micro lesson? Mention the steps in any one lesson of class XI/XII of your choice.


MICRO LESSON


   The term micro comes from the Greek 'Mikros' meaning 'small, little'. In the ELT industry micro lesson planning refers to planning one specific lesson based on one target. It involves choosing a topic and building a full lesson to complement it. A typical lesson plan involves a warm-up activity, which introduces the topic followed by an explanation/lesson of the point to be covered. Next teachers decide a few activities that allow students to practice the target point, preferably through a mix of skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing). Finally, teachers should plan a brief wrap-up activity that brings the lesson to a close. This could be as simple as planning to ask students to share their answers from the final activity as a class.

2. State the personal and professional qualities of an Education teacher.


A. Personal Qualities


1. Interest in the subject of social science: A social science teacher should have mastery over the content of social science. It is necessary for him to be interested in social science. If the teacher is not interested in social science, he would not succeed in teaching the class with zeal, attention and perseverance. In order to allow social science to have proper place in the school curriculum it is necessary that at the teacher is attached to social science and has interest in it.

2. Personality: According to WM Ryburn, "The success of teaching process will depend on the teacher, on his knowledge and skill but specially on his general personality, qualities of life and character."

3. Sound mind in a sound body: A teacher should be physically healthy in order to carry out his responsibility well.

4. Personal appearance: Face is the index of mind. If the personal appearance of the teacher is attractive, the students will be influenced by him. An unkempt teacher with improper clothes can not influence the children of modern times, especially the small children can not be influenced by the ability of a teacher in dirty clothes.

5. Voice: The voice of a teacher should be clean and influential. His pronunciation should be proper else the children would learn to speak incorrectly.


B. Professional Qualities


1. Knowledge of contents: It is necessary for a teacher to know his subject exhaustively. If his knowledge is incomplete or shallow, then he can not win the confidence of his students. Until a teacher commands mastery over his subject, he would not be able to do the work of his subject will make him prone to commit errors. In the changing circumstances of present times, it is necessary for a teacher to amend the enrich his knowledge of social science with the latest information and keep his knowledge at the optimum level.

2. Manner of presentation of contents: The topic, concept, formula or law to be taught in the classroom should be presented by a teacher in a logical and analytical way. Each step of the problem should be presented to the students in a logical and sequential manner.

3. Knowledge of individual difference: Each student is unique in his reading, writing, understanding and working in rate and ability. So it is necessary for a good teacher to know these individual differences. He must know the practical knowledge of psychology, only then he can teach the students keeping in view their individual differences interests, abilities and capabilities.

4. Knowledge of different teaching methods: Along side 2011 mastery over the subject, a teacher should necessarily know the good and effective teaching methods of the teaching of social science. It is necessary for effective teaching that a teacher knows the aims and objectives of social science clearly, because teaching learning circumstances and teaching methods can be selected in reference to aims and objectives. A teacher should know effective teaching methods like inductive, deductive, analytical method, synthetic method, research method, laboratory method, project method etc. by which students can get an opportunity to learning by doing. It would make their learning permanent.


3. Differentiate between Formative and Summative Evaluation in Education.

2. This evaluation is used to assess the progress of a student during the teaching-learning process.

7. This evaluation process provides continuous feedback to both learners and teachers.

8. In this evaluation the relationship between teachers and learners are very close.

9. It occurs during instruction.

10. It provides us relevant information which helps to improve classroom instruction.

2. This evaluation is used to assess the learning outcomes of a student at the end of the teaching-learning process.

3. It emphasizes on measuring student's achievement.

7. This evaluation process doesn't provide continuous feedback to both learners and teachers.

8. There is no opportunity to become closer relationship between teachers and learners.
